We offer monthly meetings for both caregivers and survivors of TBI in a safe, private setting of support, encouragment and education regarding TBI
To provide community activities for families of TBI
To serve as an information and resource center for persons with brain injury, their families and friends
To promote the general welfare, rights and dignity of individuals experiencing disability caused by brain injury
Support and assist BIA - Brain Injury Association of America with their mission of advocacy in our local community
Support and assist CALBIA - California Brain Injury Association with their mission of advocacy in the state of California and in our local community
To increase local community public, family, professional, and survivor awareness of the incidence and the consequences of brain injury
To advocate for public policy which recognizes and addresses the problems of persons with braininjury, their families, and care providers
To foster and assist in the establishment of rehabilitation programs and service for persons with brain injury in the high desert area, from coma to community
To create and support activities and legislation related to TBI
To support state and national brain injury associations on all aspects of TBI: research, prevention, treatment, rehabilitation, and lifelong care
To promote and foster the empowerment of persons with brain injury through active participation in local, state and national TBI programs
To provide TBI care packages at local community hospitals and nearest trauma centers for distribution to families who are immediately introduced to TBI by the well known and dreaded "phone call."
