eBay Foundation grants $2,500 to Parents Helping Parents
San Jose, CA, August 28, 2009 - eBay Foundation recently awarded a GIVE Team grant of $2,500 to Parents Helping Parents (PHP). The grant was made possible as a result of David London, eBay Inc. employee, who recommended PHP for funding.
Funds will be used for the Family Support Services program providing information, direction, education and support for families and their children with special needs. Family Support Services improve the quality of life for children with special needs and strengthen families by empowering them with the information, support services, and decision-making skills needed to effectively support their child’s development and family integrity.
eBay foundation’s GIVE Team program encourages employees to become involved with and advocate funding for nonprofit organizations that work to improve the quality of life for all. A competitive program through which grant decisions are made by an employee committee, eBay Foundation GIVE Team grants are only made to organizations recommended for funding by the local committee.
