Kidango

Kidango is a private, nonprofit agency providing a variety of services to children and families in Alameda, Santa Clara, San Mateo, and San Francisco Counties. Our services are for children from birth to six years of age, as determined by the license of each site. The hours of operation vary from site to site. Each site is licensed by Community Care Licensing to ensure the safety of your child.

We are extremely proud of our child development program. We know that it is not us but you, the parent, who has the most influence on your child's development and education. Therefore, in order for your child to obtain the maximum advantage from our program, your help and opinions are needed. You are encouraged to become an active participant in the program through our parent education programs, classroom participation and involvement on the advisory committee.
The Kidango centers are designed to provide for children ages 0-5. Due to varying program structures and needs of the families, we offer full-day and part-day services. All centers also include a quality nutritional program. Each day breakfast, lunch, and morning and afternoon snacks are provided to meet each developing child's needs. We can accommodate special dietary requirements.
We believe at Kidango in providing programs to increase the success of the whole child. Our centers offer mental health consultation services as well as health and vision screenings upon request of the parent. Parents and other caregivers can receive counseling and consultation services to help with developmental and behavioral concerns.
Early Intervention Services are designed to provide for the special needs of infants with developmental delays and to provide support to their families. We have an expert team of developmental specialists that include Occupational, Speech, and Physical Therapists that can meet each child's specific needs.
These services are available at the family's home and/or integrated into the classroom at selected Kidango centers. Services are provided free of charge to qualifying Regional Center clients.
Early Childhood Programs assist in the development of preschool age children and provide opportunities for parents to gain self-sufficiency. Programs include head start, state preschool, child care and child development as well as resource and referral services.
The California State Preschool Program is committed to providing a developmentally appropriate program in an enriched environment to benefit the children
