YMCA of the Mid-Peninsula - Day Camps

These camps are a mainstreaming experience.

The YMCA Camp experience is unique because it combines character development and a values-based curriculum with traditional and non-traditional camp activities. YMCA campers not only have fun, develop skills, travel to exciting destinations, and make friends, but they grow as a result of the YMCA's emphasis on values-education and positive role modeling by supportive, responsible, well-trained adult leaders.

ACA accreditation is the best evidence parents have of a camp's commitment to creating a safe and nurturing environment for children. Accreditation assures that camp practices have been measured against national standards and go beyond state licensing requirements. Accredited camps have complied with up to 300 standards including facilities, health, safety, program quality, personnel and administration. Accreditation is voluntary and must be earned, so you are assured that our YMCA is committed to deliver camps built on best practices.
