Adopt A Special Kid (AASK)
AASK specializes in the placement of children from the California foster care system. Adoption of such children is sometimes referred to as "special-needs adoptions" or "fost-adopt." AASK works with county social service agencies throughout California. Most of the children have been removed from their birth families due to abuse or neglect and may have "special needs" as a result. There are children of all ages in need of families, with most of the children between the ages of 2 and 10.

| Cost: | AASK provides complete, no-fee foster and adoption services to families interested in helping children in the foster care system. AASK also offers fee-for-service home studies and other services for families wishing to adopt children from outside of the system. |
