Dr. Elliott has expertise in the diagnosis and treatment of severe psychiatric disorders in children and adolescents. His focus is to clarify the appropriate use of psychoactive medications in relieving the distress of children and adolescents, while minimizing risks to their immediate welfare and long-term development. 

Does my child need psychiatric medications? What are the benefits, potential side effects and effects on long term development? Dr. Elliott recently authored Medicating Young Minds, a book for parents facing this difficult decision. He will address such disorders in children as autism, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), anxiety, depression and bipolar disorder.
