Sibling Support Group for Teens of Special Needs Families

Sun, Oct 5, 2008: 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm

Sibling Support Group for Teens of Special Needs Families
Co-sponsored by Parents Helping Parents, Inc. and Sibshops Support Group and the El Camino YMCA
Brothers and sisters of kids with disabilities now have a chance to meet, have fun, and talk with other teens whose sibs have special needs. They’ll be able to talk about the good and not-so-good parts of having special siblings, while having a great time playing awesome games such as ping-pong, volleyball, and other indoor and outdoor fun.
Brothers and sisters may have feelings that are difficult to express, even to a friend or parent. Teen Sibshops not only provide peer support but also an opportunity to learn more about a sibling’s disability. Most importantly, Teen Sibshops are fun!
Teen Sibshop For teens ages 13-17 with siblings with special needs or chronic illness.
