Sharing the Journey : A 6-weeks workshop series
When: Every Thursday night from January15th through February 19th, 2009(consecutive Thursday nights)
What Time: 7:00 - 8:30 pm
Who should attend?
Parents with a child that is recently or newly diagnosed and/or family that is new to the working with the many systems of care. Your child does not have to be any particular age to be able to participate. There is no age criterion!
What will the workshop series cover eachweek?
- Week 1: Welcome- Sharing the Journey
- Week 2: Understanding Parent Grieving States
- Week 3: Working with Professionals
- Week 4: Getting Organized: Medical Home Notebook
- Week 5: Family Dinner and Social
- Week 6: On the Road By the end of the six weeks, we aim to have parents feel encouraged and ready to enter the journey of parenting a child with unique needs knowing that there are many resources and supports along the way.
Cost: $25 for non-members per family & $15 for PHP members per family
*Funding through Regional Center may be available. PHP’s vendor code is ZS0105.
Financial support available if needed.
Regrettably no child care is provided.
