Talk about finding evaluators; Learn about the importance of accurate information. Find organizations that help you to understand your child's disability.

The Special Education File-Do it Right!  "If it was not written down, it was not said. If it was not written down, it did not happen." Pete Wright.   We'll discuss ways to organize your education documents. Summer is the perfect time to put things in order.

This month the workshop will be based on the book by Pete and Pam- From Emotions to Advocacy. As we discuss the sections of the book, discussion will be encouraged. You will bring home tips, strategies, and information to empower you ability to advocate.

Please plan to stay after the workshop, the room will remain open from 8:30 to 9:30pm; a time for you to connect with other parents in our community. At times parents with more experience with special education attend this workshop and willingly share information and support.
