SCCFAPA is a countywide resource for foster, adoptive, and kinship families. Our mission is to increase availability of resources for foster and adoptive families and encourage positive change by working with community members, service agencies, and legislative bodies to promote community awareness of the needs of foster families. Our primary programs are foster, adoptive, and kinship parent training, family events throughout, and community awareness/resources through our Resource Center.
Support and advocacy for foster families, FOCUS and support groups led by experts in foster, adoptive and relative care, in service classes on relevant topics, Foster & Adoptive Parent Resource Center, Resource library with take home materials, quarterly newsletter, gatherings, picnics, and annual camp out, and the Kids & Horses program.
