PHP has a team of staff that are here to speak with you on the phone or meet with you in person to assist you in identifying the resources, services and information that best meets your needs.
We do that by listening to your needs, helping to sort out what is available at PHP, in the community, through public benefits and private providers.
The staff speak Spanish, Vietnamese, Hindi, and Gujurati in the office. We have access to those that speak additional languages to assist through the mentor/support parent program.
What makes PHP different? We are not only people that are supportive in an effective manner, know the many resources in the community and are trained to serve you in the best way we are able... we are also parents of children with different types of special needs.
We live your challenges, share your fears and your joys, we find great joy in small gains and recognize that great strides sometimes not always seen by the world in which we live. We laugh... and we cry with you.
PHP now offers daytime support meetings monthly and hosts evening events, including Sharing the Journey to better support families of young children whose families are entering new systems of care.
Please join us at one of our upcoming morning coffees. There will be three rotating areas of interest, autism, global delays/intellectual disabilities, and rare conditions. See the event listings for details.
We look forward to serving you and learning how we can better meet you needs. Please feel free to email me with any thoughts or ideas you have.
