PHP's iTECH Center is a preview and demonstration center for Assistive Technology (AT). The iTECH Center offers parents and professionals the opportunity to gain "hands-on" experience with assistive devices and instructional software before making a decision on which ones best suit their needs. Our AT Specialists can assist you in exploring and accessing high/low tech options through a guided "Techsploration" in our AT Lab. The iTECH Center offers the following:

Technology for Infants and Preschoolers (T.I.P.) TIP is an early intervention program that introduces young children to technology through play. Funding available for San Andreas Regional Center clients ages 0-3.

Learning Disabilities Toolkits Now Available for Loan to PHP Members!
Thanks to a generous grant from the Yahoo! Employee Foundation, PHP is now able to offer current PHP members the opportunity to explore assistive technology for learning disabilities in the home or school setting for up to three weeks. The toolkits contain a wide variety of low-tech tools for reading, writing and math such as highlighter tape, writing guides, pencil grips, hand-held electronic dictionaries and more.

The kits will be available for check-out from the PHP library Monday through Friday, 10 am - 4 pm. Call Judy Bower at x 110 to reserve your kit or for more information.

Trainings Trainings related to assistive technology are available to parent groups, school districts or community agencies. Choose from topics such as:

Available to address communication issues of your child/student. Extensive background in Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC).

Toy Adaptation Bring in your battery operated toy to be adapted for switch use $8/toy, switch not included.
