Autism Spectrum Disorder

For parents, professionals, and caregivers of children with autistic spectrum disorders (ASD) or developmental delays in communication, behavior, and social skills.

PHP hosts a Parent Coffee quarterly for families that have children with autism. Please check the calendar to the right for upcoming events.

The PHP Autism Spectrum Disorder Support and Information Group holds occasional meetings with professionals speaking on a variety of topics. When scheduled, these meetings are on the third Thursday of the month.  Please check the calendar to the right.  The co-sponsors of this Educational Support Group are PHP and the San Francisco Bay Area Chapter of the Autism Society of America, PO Box 1207, San Carlos, CA 94070. 650-637-7772.


Informal Bay Area Meetings (not affliated with Parents Helping Parents): Parents also meet informally in a variety of locations in the Bay Area to talk about a variety of issues & concerns, share information and provide support.These meetings are an opportunity for parents to meet informally and to share ideas, experiences and information. New families and caregivers are always welcome. Those who wish to share or simply listen are invited to attend.

IAN, the Interactive Autism Network, was established in January 2006 at Kennedy Krieger Institute and is funded by a grant from Autism Speaks. IAN's goal is to facilitate research that will lead to advancements in understanding and treating autism spectrum disorders (ASDs).
