My name is Rachel Gandt. I’m the Community Relations Representative for Anthem Blue Cross Medi-Cal Plan covering the San Francisco County and Santa Clara County. My job is to partner with community-based organizations, faith-based organizations, schools, and provider offices to educate those who are working with the Medi-Cal population about the different resources and benefits that Anthem offers. Some of these include free transportation to provider visits, pharmacies, and grocery stores, help for individuals and families that are facing housing and food insecurity, free health education classes, free community resource link to help connect people to resources within their zip code, free tele-health for urgent care and behavioral healthcare needs and so much more.
