Since 1987, CIWP has been supporting individuals with developmental disabilities and mental challenges to achieve their potential.  Our model is based on the principles of community integration to achieve productive lifestyles.

CIWP is honored to provide work and behavioral day-programs, independent living supports, and crisis intervention.  Our array of services is available to participants throughout the large state of California.

NOTE: the day programs are only availble in:

Antioch, Fresno, Los Banos, Elk Grove, etc. Crisis Response still available in Santa Clara county.

CIWP provides integrated options for the developmentally disabled as they learn to live and work independently in their local communities.

This is accomplished through intensive training on all basic areas of a productive lifestyle:

  • Paid work
  • Familiarity with full use of all the resources that each community has to offer
  • Attainment of the necessary skills to develop and maintain friendships and all other social relationships which make our life meaningful
  • Familiarity with leisure and recreational resources in the community
  • The development of a strong and confident personality

CIWP’s Crisis Response Project provides crisis intervention.

24/7 Mobile Crisis Response

Crisis Response Project provides 24/7 mobile crisis intervention, crisis de-escalation,and crisis prevention to consumers at the following Regional Centers:​

  • Eastern Los Angeles Regional Center
  • Regional Center of the East Bay
  • San Andreas Regional Center
  • South Central Los Angeles Regional Center
  • Westside Regional Center​

The main goals of Crisis Response Project are to stabilize and assist the consumer and families in crisis, prevent unnecessary psychiatric hospitalizations, and to prevent police involvement. Crisis Response Project is highly effective even in the most difficult crisis situations due to high level of crisis training, quick response times, and the community partnerships that have been created
