Therapists: Individual Counseling

I graduated from Santa Clara University in 2009, with a Master’s Degree in Counseling Psychology and Health Emphasis.  Specifically, I researched and wrote about issues pertaining to infertility, grief, and loss.  I also did research and wrote about adolescents suffering from conduct disorder.  In my Health Emphasis classes, I studied the importance of the mind/body connection and Mindfulness techniques.  These are skills I use in my practice and my own life, today.

In addition to other areas, I specialize in infertility and how it impacts individuals, couples and families.  Also, I specialize in grief and loss issues, as they arise when we experience a multitude of different challenges in our life, including: a death of a loved one or pet, loss of a job or relationship, an unwanted health diagnosis as well as other unexpected changes in one’s life.  I also specialize in working with law enforcement personnel and military personnel who are experiencing life changes due to on the job stress, secondary trauma, and offer reentry support for military personnel returning home.

I have 14 years of experience working with adolescents.  Today, teenagers and young adults experience a great deal of peer pressure, and are exposed to much more because of the internet and social media.  Specifically, I have worked with young people who have dealt with bullying, child abuse, anxiety, depression, peer pressure, and family related problems.  I am experienced in working with young people who have suffered trauma, abuse, and have participated in self-harming behaviors.

Currently, I do not have an office space and meet with my clients via telehealth.  I am also willing to meet my clients for a “walk & talk” as well or in another confidential setting.
