WE ARE FASD UNITED!
Formerly National Organization on Fetal Alcohol Syndrome (NOFAS), FASD United supports families living with fetal alcohol spectrum disorders (FASD) and prevents prenatal exposure to alcohol and other substances harmful to human development.

FASD United fulfills its mission and strategic objectives through a range of programmatic initiatives and activities serving diverse audiences.

Family Navigator
The navigator serves members of the FASD community and anyone in need of one-on-one emotional support, referrals to resources and services, information about prenatal alcohol exposure, or with a question about any facet of FASD.

Affiliate Network
The longest standing and largest coalition of FASD organizations established in 2002 to share resources, coordinate activities, and serve the needs of communities affected by FASD.

A world where all children are born free of exposure to alcohol, drugs, and other substances known to harm fetal development and where those exposed have the services and support they need to lead a fulfilling life. 

Our ultimate goal is the full range of fetal alcohol-related resources for Northern California available to all who need them.

FASD Network of Southern California is an information and support resource for parents, caregivers, advocates, educators and treatment professionals of persons who have been diagnosed with Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder (FASD) or anyone who is suspected of being affected by FASD. It is also useful for students or professionals who are interested in the challenges faced by families affected by these conditions.
Our mission is to enhance the quality of life — through information, advocacy and service — for children, adolescents and adults in Southern California affected by prenatal alcohol exposure, and to empower those who care for or serve them.

Policy and Training Center
The center strives for legislative and policy outcomes on behalf of individuals living with FASD and trains stakeholders to effectively participate in the passage of meaningful legislation and the pursuit of policy objectives.

Information and Referral Clearinghouse and Media Hub
A marketplace of prevention and intervention ideas, information, and materials featuring the national resource directory, and a hub for mass media outreach, social media communication, and other dissemination strategies.

Weekly Roundup
Published continuously since 2010, the FASD United Weekly Roundup is an email newsletter featuring news, features, events, editorials, funding opportunities, and other information and resources.

Justice Center
The center conducts and promotes legal trainings and conferences, provides guidance and referrals to families facing legal proceedings, and issues amicus briefs, among other activities.

Recovering Mothers Anonymous
A 12-step fellowship of mothers seeking recovery and self-forgiveness from the lived experience of using alcohol or other harmful substances while pregnant founded and hosted by Kathy Mitchell.

Circle of Hope
An evidence-based therapeutic mentoring program for birth mothers and women whose offspring were prenatally exposed to alcohol and other harmful substances.

Stamp Out Stigma Campaign
An initiative to call attention to and overcome discrimination of birth families and all members of the FASD community.

FASD Champions Speakers Bureau
In partnership with the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOG) and the American Academy of Pediatricians (AAP), individuals with the FASD lived experience join ACOG and AAP FASD champions to educate primary care physicians and other professionals about prenatal alcohol exposure and FASD.

National Alcohol Beverage Control Association Initiative
FASD education and professional training in states and jurisdictions that control the sale of distilled spirits and promote responsible alcohol consumption.

Collaborative for Alcohol-Free Pregnancy
Centers for Disease Control and Prevention partnership for practice change consisting of FASD online training and resources for healthcare professionals.

Collaborative Initiative on Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorders
FASD United leads the educational component of the world’s largest FASD research consortium promoting scientific findings to policymakers, public health professionals, multidisciplinary service providers, and the public.

Hall of Fame
Founded in 2005, the Hall of Fame honors heroes living with FASD, and the families, advocates, and professionals devoted to researching, preventing, and treating the disabilities.

Stars for Starla
A recognition program named for a courageous self-advocate celebrating the strengths and talents of youth living with FASD.
