Palo Alto Community Child Care Centers
PACCC is Palo Alto’s premier non-profit early education and youth development provider for working families that offers a family-focused care philosophy to support the whole child and family learning experience. As a community based non-profit, we serve children in the Palo Alto and surrounding communities from infancy through elementary school.
CENTERS
PACCC offers four types of programs:
- Infant-Toddler
- Preschool
- After School Kids’ Clubs (located at 11 of the 12 elementary schools in Palo Alto)
- Summer Camps
Each center offers its own blend of creative curriculum and distinctive strengths. All of them share the same PACCC commitment to quality:
- Focused attention with low child to teacher ratios
- Expert and experienced staff
- Research-based child development approaches tailored to each age and each child
- Excellent facilities and play spaces
As a partner agency of the City of Palo Alto, only PACCC provides parents with a continuous and integrated service for your child from infancy through elementary school. And only PACCC provides a spread of geographic locations to suit your family’s needs.
INFANT-TODDLER CENTERS
PACCC’s infant-toddler centers provide highly attentive care for children from 2 months to 2 years old. Our low child-to-staff ratios enable us to provide just what your child needs: whether it means extra holding and reassurance, engaged play with a teacher, individualized toilet learning, or something more. Our experienced teachers use research-based child development approaches to ensure your child will thrive and grow.
All of the centers have excellent facilities to support both indoor and outdoor experiences. Our programs provide healthy, freshly cooked meals prepared by a chef trained in nutrition.
Enrollment in a PACCC infant-toddler center gives families priority enrollment for available spaces into PACCC’s preschool centers, saving parents from uncertainty for the future and ensuring a continuity of care.

PRESCHOOL CENTERS
PACCC’s preschool centers offer enriching and engaging care for children ages 2 until entry into kindergarten. Our experienced teachers are passionate about combining social and emotional growth with age-appropriate educational experiences using a holistic approach (read more about our child development philosophy). We individualize a development path suited for each child – whether that involves a particular diapering/toilet training plan, a learning style that is especially physical, or a personality that can be shy around others. We value the unique needs of each child.
By the time PACCC children leave our programs for kindergarten, they know that other children can become friends, teachers are caring, and learning is fun.

In keeping with our mission, PACCC seeks opportunities to develop funding resources and outreach for low-income families in the local community.
PACCC leverages funding from the City of Palo Alto, the State of California (in partnership with the Palo Alto Unified School District) and its own fundraising efforts to provide high quality early childhood programs for qualifying families.
