Each year, we do whatever it takes to help more than 25,000 Californians and their families manage and recover from challenges stemming from beahvioral health, substance use and trauma—such as severe neglect and abuse—and learn the essential life skills they need to be successful at home, at school, and in their community. We have five regional offices covering 12 counties in California.

Uplift Family Services is a statewide nonprofit that helps children and families. The agency is one of the largest, most comprehensive mental health treatment programs in California. Uplift Family Services takes a state-of-the-art approach to children and adolescents with complex behavioral health challenges and helps them recover from trauma such as abuse, severe neglect, addiction and poverty. For youth that exit our programs, over 90% are living in the community, staying in school, and remaining out of trouble.

Serving many parts of California, Uplift Family Services is headquartered in Campbell, with offices in San Jose, Los Gatos, Fairfield, Concord, Davis, Sacramento, Fresno, San Bernardino, and Los Angeles.

We also have Foster Care and Adoption services in over 30 California counties.

Bay Area

The Bay Area Region, our largest area of service, is where we originated 150 years ago. Here, we have implemented a full continuum of services, from prevention through intensive crisis stabilization.

The richly diverse Bay Area can be fast-paced and transitory. The ever-widening gap between socioeconomic levels has left many families struggling, feeling isolated and disconnected from a close-knit community.

When Uplift Family Services steps up to help, we are typically addressing both mental health and basic needs, including food and clothing. The biggest behavioral health needs include depression, anxiety, suicidality, substance abuse, school bullying, behavioral issues and parenting skills.
