Please join Mouna Raad, PHP’s Family Empowerment Center and Mental Health Program Manager, as she tells her compelling story of inclusion during a person-centered transition to adulthood for a young woman with a developmental disability.
This is a family’s journey around belonging that started in a small village in a far away country and is continuing to this day in a Bay Area town. Through pictures, videos, stories, and correspondence, we will spotlight:
- Beautiful moments of inclusivity from childhood through adulthood
- Ways parents may identify, create, and sustain inclusive opportunities for loved ones before, during, and after transition into adulthood
- The importance of intention, thoughtfulness, and planning when considering inclusion
- Lessons learned – and inspiration discovered – along the way
