Who doesn’t love a good story? Please join us for a 3-part series where parents share their journeys with different aspects of their daughters’ transitions to adulthood.
Robynn Gualtiere, Transition Specialist for San Jacinto Unified School District, WorkAbility I Region 5 Co-Manager, WorkAbility I State Advisory Alt. Chair, tells the story of her daughter’s progression through special education services, including:
- The journey traveled before entering the K-12 system
- Some great experiences in school and some not so great experiences in school – like all kids
- Reflections on the journey- what worked, what didn’t work
- How WorkAbility I in high school changed everything
- Tips for fellow parents as they navigate – with their young adult – transition to adulthood
We know it takes the support of a village when raising children with disabilities, and we know sharing stories helps us all cope just a little bit better with whatever we’re facing at the moment. Join us please.
