My Name is Kat Lowrance and I am working part time for CA Hands & Voices and I wanted to let you know we are putting on a conference on April 5th, in Huntington Beach. CA Hands & Voices is a family-operated, state-wide organization serving families with DHH children. Learn the skills to be an advocate for your child/student. Learn the laws and regulations around students who are deaf/hard of hearing!
The training is for parents, and professionals who have and/or work with Deaf-Hard of Hearing/Deaf-Blind/Deaf-Plus children. It is an all day Saturday training and then for those who would like to become advocates with CA H&V they stay for a half day Sunday. We will supply food, and both ASL and Spanish interpreters. I know this training will be beneficial for those who work with these children.
