The Paid Internship Program (PIP) is a program paid for by the Department of Developmental Services (DDS) to increase competitive integrated employment (CIE) for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. The PIP offers up to 1,040 intern hours per year and pays at least minimum wage to a regional center consumer when the person gets an internship position at a job they want.

Please join Kathryn Boroff from Far Northern Regional Center as she discusses the:
Eligibility requirements of a PIP
Process of securing a PIP: from having a person-centered meeting with the regional center service coordinator to deciding what type of job the person may want to creating a plan to get that job
Role of job development agencies/job coaches in a PIP

Kathryn is the Resource Development Quality Assurance – Employment Specialist at Far Northern Regional Center, serving people with disabilities in several northern CA counties, helping them achieve their person-centered employment goals.

This webinar will provide live Spanish interpretation.
