Since 1976, PHP has been a haven for parents, offering a safe space to come together, share experiences, and find acceptance and connection. Over the next three years, PHP is committed to building a richer, vibrant, and inclusive community by fostering connections and reinventing the service experience for clients. The strategic goals 2024-2027 were approved by the PHP Board of Directors in May 2024.
PHP volunteers and staff will provide new online and in-person opportunities for parents to connect, fostering strong relationships and mutual support.
We will collaborate with various community groups to enhance social connections and opportunities for parents of individuals with disabilities, strengthening existing bonds and forging new ones.
Loneliness and isolation can deeply affect individuals when they’re disconnected from their communities. Being part of an inclusive community fosters a sense of belonging, where individuals are embraced, share wisdom, receive support, and cultivate lifelong relationships.
Both PHP and our clients have undergone enormous changes in the last decade. Families have an increased need for ease of access in receiving PHP services. There are more technology tools available to deliver information and support than ever before.
PHP will remove pain points in our service delivery as well as increase its effectiveness through technology.
We will expand our technology practices to allow for more personalized content recommendations, offer improved language access, and increase responsiveness to families needing assistance.
