You are not alone…come to learn, share, and receive support during difficult times and bring balance to your life!
Parenting can be hard at times…and when your family includes someone with any disability, it can be all the more difficult and overwhelming. Parents Helping Parents understands! Support for Caregivers is designed to reduce caregiver overwhelm. It is led by an LMFT (licensed marriage and family therapist) and meets weekly in 8-week cycles.
Support for Caregivers individual sessions discuss a related topic. During each 1-hour session, there are 15 minutes of “help and hope” shared by the LMFT on a specific topic. Group discussion allows participants to share their struggles and victories, and support each other. It’s great to attend an entire series but it’s not necessary. Come when you are able!

This group is not a replacement for individual therapy. If you need individualized help, check the PHP Resource Directory to find local mental health professionals who work with parents and families with children who have disabilities.
