When you volunteer with PHP you create change in your community!

Volunteers do not necessarily have the time; they just have the heart.

~Elizabeth Andrew

Volunteering with PHP is a meaningful way to make a difference in the lives of families in our community. As a volunteer, you’ll have the opportunity to support parents and caregivers as they advocate for their children’s needs and access vital resources. In fact, most of our volunteers are parents themselves who have been clients of Parents Helping Parents. Please take a look at our Volunteer Opportunities and let us know if you would like to get involved!

We’re looking for people with disabilities and their loved ones to share 15-90 second video clips about their lives. These videos will be used on PHP’s social media to raise awareness, promote inclusion and acceptance, and inspire others. We’ll edit the clips before sharing them, and some may even go viral!

PHP is looking for a volunteer to help with our Community Resource Directory! Are you looking to make a meaningful contribution to the disability community? Do you need flexibility of schedule? Location? We might be a good fit.

Would you like to help families connect with much needed resources? We are looking for bilingual volunteers to help us with events & projects! If you are fluent in either Spanish or Vietnamese we would greatly appreciate your help!

Adults participating in a support group

The Early Childhood Team is looking for volunteers to help with our Early Childhood Parent Support Groups (ages 0-5)! Bilingual in either English & Vietnamese or English & Spanish is desired, but not required.

Become a PHP Ambassador! We are seeking passionate volunteers to join our community outreach team and assist with events aimed at raising awareness and promoting PHP services.

Please note:

  • Many volunteer opportunities require a background check.
  • It is preferred that volunteers live locally.
  • Most volunteer projects require individuals age 18+. If you are a student, under 18, we have a few opportunities that require permission from a parent/guardian.
