Please join Mouna Raad, PHP’s Family Empowerment Center and Mental Health Program Manager, as she tells her compelling story of inclusion during a person-centered transition to adulthood for a young woman with a developmental disability.
This is a family’s journey around belonging that started in a small village in a far away country and is continuing to this day in a Bay Area town. Through pictures, videos, stories, and correspondence, we will spotlight:
– Beautiful moments of inclusivity from childhood through adulthood
– Ways parents may identify, create, and sustain inclusive opportunities for loved ones before, during, and after transition into adulthood
– The importance of intention, thoughtfulness, and planning when considering inclusion
– Lessons learned – and inspiration discovered – along the way
This webinar will provide live Spanish interpretation.
If you need accommodations to participate in the training or assistance with registration, please contact us as soon as possible at [email protected]. We typically require 10 days to arrange accommodations to ensure your inclusion.
This is a Connections California event, a project of Parents Helping Parents – Silicon Valley. Connections California is sponsored in part by the San Andreas Regional Center and the California Department of Developmental Services.
