Who doesn’t love a good story? Please join us for a 3-part series where parents share their journeys with different aspects of their daughters’ transitions to adulthood. (Part 2, Transition to Adult Medical Care: A Parent’s Perspective on 2/12/25 and Part 3, Importance of Inclusion During Transition to Adulthood: A Parent’s Perspective, on 2/20/25).

Robynn Gualtiere, Transition Specialist for San Jacinto Unified School District, WorkAbility I Region 5 Co-Manager, WorkAbility I State Advisory Alt. Chair, tells the story of her daughter’s progression through special education services, including:
– The journey traveled before entering the K-12 system
– Some great experiences in school and some not so great experiences in school – like all kids
– Reflections on the journey- what worked, what didn’t work
– How WorkAbility I in high school changed everything
– Tips for fellow parents as they navigate – with their young adult – transition to adulthood

We know it takes the support of a village when raising children with disabilities, and we know sharing stories helps us all cope just a little bit better with whatever we’re facing at the moment. Join us please.

This webinar will provide live Spanish interpretation.
If you need accommodations to participate in the training or assistance with registration, please contact us as soon as possible at [email protected]. We typically require 10 days to arrange accommodations to ensure your inclusion.
