Do you have a high-potential young adult (ages 18-30) in your life who needs extra help finding their path to adulthood?
You are not alone! We call the process Positive Adulting! Many of our young adults with challenges from learning disabilities, ADHD, mental health, FASD, and autism live at home with their families. They aren’t Regional Center clients so it’s up to their parents to guide them as best they can. The desire for independence may be difficult to meet in stressful, high-priced, Silicon Valley. OR, these young adults may become so comfortable at home that they aren’t considering leaving. So much for a parent’s dream of empty nesting!
This is unchartered territory for most of us as parents. How can we help our young adults gain the tools and motivation needed to successfully launch their independent lives? Come and meet other parents who are going through the same process!
Let’s learn from each other as we work to find ways to help our young adults on their Paths for Positive Adulting!
