PEERS curricula from UCLA, is an evidence-based program was specifically designed for teens and young adults, focusing on the typical interactions these students have with their peers. These curricula teach real-world skills – how to informally greet someone with a “S’up?”, how to tell jokes, how to enter and leave a conversation, and much more. In short, it’s the equivalent of ‘conversational social skills’ as opposed to ‘textbook social skills’ – how young people actually interact.

The course is 14 weeks long and has a parent component to scaffold the work the teens and young adults are doing. We will be conducting the parenting component via webinar to make it easier for busy parents to attend sessions or view missed sessions at a later date.

PEERS Youth, Teen & Young Adult is for neurodiverse individuals ages 12-28. Each session will have different age ranges depending on who else has signed up previously or is on our wait list. We do our best to get everyone in a class as soon as we can. Concurrent enrollment for parents in the PEERS Parents component will run every other week virtually via webinar in the evenings. Details will follow upon enrollment.
