For Santa Clara County parents only due to the delicate nature of the session, this is not a session for professional learning.

Parents Helping Parents is here for you from the moment your child first has a suspected or confirmed disability diagnosis. You are not alone during this confusing and difficult time.

This session is PHP’s Sharing the Journey series, is a 2-part program developed to help parents of young children navigate and understand the complex and emotional process of raising a child with special needs. Connect with other parents going through similar experiences, and create a plan that will help you, your child, and your entire family thrive.

To get the full benefit of this wonderful program, plan to attend both sessions.

Sharing the Journey topics include:
– Processing a new diagnosis, and parental self-care
– Support and services available
– Family resilience: the 5 Protective Factors
– Planning the next steps

Participation is limited to families who live in Santa Clara County with children ages 0 – 17.
Attendance is limited to 8 families to allow for confidential sharing and discussion.

Sharing the Journey is offered in English, Spanish, and Vietnamese. Visit our calendar of events or contact us for more information.

This program is sponsored in part by the CA Department of Social Services and Santa Clara County Child Abuse Prevention Council.
