It’s important to be aware that paid employment will have an impact on Supplemental
Security Income (SSI) and/or Social Security Disability Insurance (SSDI) benefits. This
training will address how the Social Security Administration (SSA) will reduce SSI
benefits using the “countable income calculation” when the person receiving benefits
has earned income. We will also review reducing the value of wages through
Impairment Related Work Expenses (IRWE).
